O.k. for you folks who don’t know, Microsoft now owns equity stake in Facebook; the social networking giant. The purchase which was made official last week Wednesday (24th) had Microsoft paying $240 million for roughly 1.6 percent stake of Facebook; imagine, just 1.6 percent…and as at the time of this post, Facebook is estimated at $15 billion.

Well if you consider that Facebook is just 3 years old and it was started by a 19 years old who is now an Harvard-drop-out, then you might feel WOWed by how fast value can be created on the web. Facebook presently enjoy 50 million active users and is adding like 200,000 new users per day. So if you were thinking why $240 million before….

I personally wasn’t expecting Microsoft to be the one clinching the deal with Facebook; rumors actually had it that Google had an eye on Facebook for a long time now, well guess that’s how the cookie crumbles…

So guys, see this as a motivation. Get more intimate with your codes, put on your creative hats and hopefully you will come up with something as valuable…
