Google [on ur] Desktop
Posted on November 8th, 2007 | by dade |Sometimes when I get to use a computer other than mine and discover that Google desktop isn’t installed, I usually go like: “hi, wazup dude? You still living in the Stone Age huh? How come you don’t have Google desktop running?”
Can’t remember the last time I used the native Windows search. It won’t actually make sense if I do. With google desktop, retrieving files, no matter how hidden is such an easy task.
It kinda turns my hard drive to like a miniature internet.
Although it’s not a new application and does not enjoy the buzz of a novel service, it is still worth mentioning coz of its usefulness.
And another sweet thing is that most of Google’s search operators works perfectly, so configuring specific keyword query for your search is as powerful as when you are using Google on the internet
