ya-what???

suppose you’re a web designer, and creating CSS-based layouts that actually work is driving you crazy. or you’re a developer who has to create a website in a hurry - but you know the advantages of standards-based design, yet you just can’t seem to work out a layout that seems good. or you’re just learning standards-based design. or you want to improve your layout skills. or like me, you’ve been (or are in) all these situations, and your recurring nightmare is self-inflicted baldness. i’ve got good news for you: YAML to the rescue!

What in the world? i thought this dude would actually give me something that would help. instead, he’s talking about yams. relax. i know what you’re thinking. in today’s world of frameworks, libraries, APIs, templates and whatnot, someone thought it important that web designers aren’t left out, and created a framework for creating multicolumn layouts using CSS. i was at the openSUSE download page and happened to read the small print. i then hopped to YAML’s homepage and became an instant disciple. what i have to say is of no use if you don’t try it out for yourself. so do so. and let’s see how you like YAML.
