Different renderers

Yo. long time since my last input at 60 minutes, both on the blog and the meets. the last time i was at the meets will probably be the last time i’ll ever be at any of them. guess it’s a good thing that Dade gave me author rights here. anyway, let me get back to the point.

at the last meet i attended, i gave a demonstration on creating 3D using free tools. i don’t really work with 3D that much these days, but i gave that to maybe inspire someone - and also to make the point that you don’t need to pirate software - or shell out $$ to create great 3D content.

anyway, recently, someone ‘recruited’ me to create something in 3D for him. i decided to give it a try (nothing venture, nothing win, right?) - and it (surprisingly) turned out good. you can see the renders here - the first 3 files. guess i’ll have to create a tutorial for it later. the point i do want to make is nothing that i used costs $$ - but i have photo-quality renders there. if you want to do 3D, you don’t need pirated software - there are great free tools available!
