Interswitch integration for Joomla!
Posted on March 31st, 2008 | by Timba |A couple of weeks ago, timbaObjects released an Interswitch-integrated Joomla component for handling accounts registration.
It so happens that some website owners will want to restrict some or all of the content on the website to only registered members (subscribers). Sometimes, they want these members to pay to register with the site. If your website is powered by the Joomla content management system (CMS), then using a component like the AEC component will enable you set up such feature on your site. However, indigenous Nigerian payment processors are not integrated in AEC. timbaObjects went about doing this integration and have come up with an integration for Interswitch for the component. All the administrator needs, is to configure the parameters he would have received from Interswitch. Then he will need to configure what payment plans are desired. Then onwards, registering members can pay to have their accounts activated.
The solution was released as a repackaged AEC component to relieve administrators the hassle of having to copy in the payment processor files. Installing the component is a breeze. From the component installation page of the Joomla administration panel, all the administrator needs to do is upload the component and have it installed automatically.
Further configuration can be done from the components menu under the AEC section. From where the Interswitch gateway can be activated and subscription plans configured.
This component is available for free download. Click here to download the component.
